Charcuterie board with inlay stripe & vertebrae
Have a hard-to-buy-for medical professional in your life? Or maybe you know a bone enthusiast looking for a kitchen centerpiece that says, “I dressed up as Wednesday Addams every Halloween of my life, but I am also a classy adult who likes nice things”? Look no further.
Woods used: poplar, walnut.
Size: 18.5" x 6.75" x 1”
For my inlay boards, I use a dado saw (multi-blade table saw) to cut a groove in my base board, then I glue in the contrasting strip of wood. After planing and sanding to create a smooth surface, I use a hand-held router to shape the edges of the piece. Then I move from the wood shop to the art studio to burn the design.
I finish all charcuterie boards with a food-safe mixture of oils and waxes, so the artwork for sale in this listing is suitable for use both as a display piece and a food surface.
All items in my shop are 100% handmade in Denver, CO. All pyrography is done by hand with an electric wood burning tool.
