Burned on poplar wood and finished with a walnut frame. The background is collaged paper and gold leaf. The piece has a polyurethane topcoat and comes with a sawtooth hanger on the back for easy wall mounting.

All my wood burning is done by hand. I sketch an outline onto the wood, then use my wood burning pen to fill in the detail. (Imagine drawing, just with heat instead of charcoal.) Yes, it's a painstaking process that takes hours and days and weeks and sometimes months of my life. But I've been in love with it since I picked up a craft burner on a whim eight years ago.

I'm a one-woman operation, and all items in my shop are 100% handmade! Excluding prints, every item I make is unique, so you'll be getting (or gifting) the only one like this in the world.
